GINGERSNAP WISHES GIVES BACK
GingerSnap Wishes was founded in 2019
GingerSnap Wishes was founded in 2019 solely to fill an identified need by my then 3-year-old daughter, Isabella. She asked me for a skirt with construction vehicles. I searched EVERYWHERE and found nothing! Isabella is a tenacious redhead that exudes the perfect balance between feminine and masculine energy. My girl loves to twirl! She loves construction trucks, fire engines, skirts, and sparkling nail polish. As our children struggle with gender expression, it is important to GingerSnap Wishes to promote healthy gender development in children by providing clothing that speaks to them. My heart literally exploded when I received a posting from a mom with a picture of her son in one of my outfits. He was so happy!
GingerSnap Wishes Gives Back
GingerSnap Wishes Gives Back was birthed from my inherent desire to give back. When California experienced the 2018 wildfires we stepped up to address the shortage that our frontline responders experienced. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and at the requests and shipping 100% cotton face masks. Our masks are made with playfully designed cotton with two layers of fabric and a pocket to add a filter. Since filters are on short supply, we are giving a dried wipe with the masks to create a small barrier of protection. We currently are using elastic to hold the masks in place but will switch to fabric ties since there is now a shortage on elastic. We recognize these face masks are not FDA approved. However, nurses across the United States have expressed their need for SOMETHING to provide a minimal amount of protection versus NOTHING!
